LEARN ABOUT OUR

WORKSHOPS

We are excited to present 5 workshops this year to enhance your personal growth and knowledge on our topic Hope.

Read the teasers below.

AMBASSADORS OF HOPE

The world is a dark place without the good news of Jesus Christ.  We have the privilege to be Ambassadors for Christ-sharing the wonderful hope of the gospel.  Together with Sharon Bout, we can discuss the things that hinder us from sharing this hope as well as ways to use our homes for the Lord's honour and glory.

Limit: 40 people per session

HOPE IN CHANGE

The Blessed Assurance of Salvation In Christ

In a world that has changed—and is changing!—so quickly and so deeply, where can the Christian find peace and security? What does the Bible tell us about change, whether of home or job, or life-circumstances and loss?

Pastor’s wife and magazine editor Brooke Ventura examines the hope we find in the midst of shifting situations as we take a look at the promise of God to Israel in Jeremiah 29:11, showing us that the same Lord that brought Israel out of Egypt is the same God who continues to bring us through uncertainty and instability.

HOPE IN DISAPPOINTMENT

Friends, family, children, colleagues, church family members, and life’s providential circumstances can all be sources of disappointment. Some of these disappointments are small and some are big. How can we practically practice the hope that scripture
teaches in these disappointments? In this workshop, Joyce DeHaan will help us answer this question and will also help us understand how our hearts reveal something about our response to disappointments.

Limit: 40 people per session

HOPE IN LOSS & GRIEF

The greatest challenge to faith and hope through the ages has been the reality of sin, death, and loss in this world.  Even as the grave destroyed the hope of the disciples after Good Friday, so also the reality of death and suffering calls into question God’s faithfulness today.  In this workshop, Rev. Greg Bylsma will lead us to see both how God gives us hope in suffering and also how we can help others in distress.

UNFAILING HOPE

How do we find the anchor of God's faithfulness in the fiercest storm? Looking at Romans 8: 24-25, Inge de Visser will help us work through how we can make a mind-shift in our hard times enabling us to grow in patience and in the Lord.
